Classic Greenland paddle, split version

This is the split version of the bestseller among all our paddles through the years, and not without reason! It's good, versatile, beautiful, lightweight, and has a reasonable price.

It's made from prime knot-free spruce from our local woods. We laminate, plane, polish and oil it at our workshop in Vestfossen. Standard lengths are 205, 210, 215, 220, 225, 230 and 235 cm (6.5' to 7.7'). Custom lengths are also available - ask and we'll make it just like you want it.

The weight is usually around 830 grams (29 ounces) for a medium length paddle. The wood is very tough and durable in itself. In addition, it has been treated with two layers of our own wax reinforced linseed oil mixture.

The tips, most likely to be worn, are reinforced mechanically with a hardwood inlay, and a mix of wood and epoxy that acts as protection.

The finished result is a paddle that will last for years of rough use without noticeable signs of wear. You can easily take it apart with a simple composite ferrule.
